We’re gonna look to bowl first. Even last game, I didn’t have any other reason. Just that we want to know what to chase and maybe, dew might come on later. Every game starts fresh and I’ve not had a great game here.
It always balances out. Just want to come out and do the job for the team. We’re chasing, so we’ll know what to do and I can pace my innings accordingly. We have a great team and that makes the team of a captain easy.
When you have experienced players and about 9/10 of the players in the first XI are international players, it makes the captain’s role easier. I’m enjoying the captaincy. Two changes – Lewis and Tye miss out, Stoinis and Chameera come in.
Sanju Samson | RRÂ
We did the same thing last time (batting first), so just need to put runs on the board and defend it later. Nothing can be done about the toss, our team is well-balanced to deal with that factor. We have two changes – Kuldeep Sen in for Navdeep Saini, Rassie van der Dussen in for Yashasvi Jaiswal

Rajasthan Royals Batting
Buttler and Padikkal gets into the crease to lead Rajasthan Royals while Chameera opens the bowling attack.
Avesh Khan in the 6th over dismissed dangerous Jos Buttler for 13 runs and draws the first blood for Rajasthan Royals. At the end of the 6 overs RR scored 44 runs for 1 wickets loss.
Krishnappa Gowtham for his counterpart picks two wickets in the 10th over by dismissing Padikkal and van der Dussen for 29 and 4 runs in the same over whereas RR scored 67 runs for 4 wickets loss.
With Hetmyer’s unbeaten 59 runs Rajasthan Royals scored 165 runs for 6 wickets loss at the end of the 20 overs.

Lucknow Super Giants Batting
KL Rahul and de Kock gets into the crease to lead Lucknow Super Giants to chase down the target of 166 runs while Boult opens the bowling attack.
In the very first over, Boult dismissed KL Rahul off the first ball and K Gowtham off the second legal ball after bowling a wide. Prasidh Krishna in the 4th over dismissed Jason Holder while Lucknow Super Giants managed to score only 31 runs while losing 3 wickets at the end of the powerplay.
After losing three early wickets, Deepak Hooda and Quinton de Kock start to decelerate the inning with selective shots. But Kuldeep Sen in the 10th over dismissed Hooda and scatters the dream. At the end of the 10 overs LSG scored 61 runs for 4 wickets loss.
Though Lucknow Super Giants struggled till the last ball, LSG scored 162 runs for 8 wickets loss and lose the match by just 3 runs.

Backed myself. My main strength is my mind. Didn’t want to divert from what I usually do. I was always ready to bowl at anytime from overs 1-20. Enjoyed de Kock’s wicket the most. He could’ve changed the game. Had seen him step out, had an intuition he’d come again (Badoni). Bowled it wider. Don’t think a lot about my bad games.
