We are going to bowl first. We’d like to know what total to chase. We’d like to get first use of the conditions with the ball. No changes to our line-up. There is very less dew here.
It’s more about trying and restricting them, so that we know what total to chase. The guys are very chill about it, they are quite flexible. If we win the games, these things are not too much of an issue.
We might not have had the kind of stats every other team would like to have, but it’s fine as long as we get two points on the board. (On playing against Rahul) Obviously, it’s going to be good, it’s going to be a terrific challenge and it’s going to be nice fun.
KL Rahul | LSG Captain
When dew is not around, it’s quite an even game. It’s important for us to start well, really assess the conditions in the first couple of overs, set-up a really solid base and then enjoy our batting and explode. I have played here before, we’ll have to bat smartly. Manish misses out, Avesh Khan comes in.
It’s a high boundary-scoring ground, one extra bowler would give more options. It’ll be a good opportunity for Jason to bat at seven. Ideally wouldn’t want him to bat, but if he does, it’s a good opportunity to show his batting skills. (On playing against Mayank) Quite balanced, we are going to look at this as another game, another opportunity for us to get two points.
We all enjoy playing this tournament and every game is important. Regardless of which opposition we are playing, we try to enjoy our cricket, try and execute our plans. This is one game I wouldn’t be wishing well for Mayank (*smiles*).

Krunal Pandya | LSG
I have been bowling well. For the last 7-8 months, I have been working hard. Special mention to Rahul Sanghvi. The results everyone can see as I have tried to improve skillwise.
Lot of times when you are playing shorter formats you don’t realise a lot of things. I have been trying to increase my height with my release and some things on my grip. I took Rahul Sanghvi’s help and it has worked.
Batting is slightly close to my heart. I haven’t been contributing much with the bat but it is a long tournament and going forward I will look to contribute with the bat.
