Punjab Kings Batting
Over 1: Mayank Agarwal and Chris Jordan open the 1st innings while Mukesh Choudhary opens the bowling attack. Choudhary in the very first over dismissed Mayank Agarwal for 4 runs where at the end of the over PBKS scored 8 runs for 1 wicket loss.
After 5 overs: PBKS scored 57 runs for 2 wickets loss. Jordan in the 2nd over dismissed Bhanuka Rajapaksa for 9 runs. But Liam Livingstone whom PBKS gets into the bid war with CSK during IPL 2022 mega auction starts to smash boundaries all over the pitch. Liam in the 5th over alone scored 26 runs and hits a massive 108m six in the first delivery from Choudhary.
After 10 overs: PBKS scored 109 runs for 3 wickets loss. CSK struggles to break the aggressive partnership. Ambati Rayudu dropped Livingstone for 45 runs which leads him to secure his maiden IPL fifty in the 10th over. Bravo in the last ball of the 10th over dismissed Dhawan and finally breaks the partnership.
After 15 overs: PBKS scored 147 runs for 5 wickets loss. Jadeja in the 11th over dismissed dangerous Liam Livingstone for 60 runs. Pretorius for his part dismissed Jitesh Sharma for 26 runs in the 15th over.
After 20 overs: PBKS scored 180 runs for 8 wickets loss.
Chennai Super Kings Batting
Over 1: Robin Uthappa and Gaikwad get into the crease to lead CSK in the second innings while Vaibhav Arora opens the bowling attack.
After 5 overs: CSK scored 22 runs for 3 wickets loss. Rabada in the second over dismissed Gaikwad for 1 run. Another failure for Gaikwad. Vaibhav Arora in the next over dismissed Uthappa for 13 runs and picks the early wickets. Vaibhav Arora makes another valuable dismissal in the 5th over by dismissing Moeen Ali for 0.
After 10 overs: CSK scored 53 runs for 5 wickets loss. CSK’s batsmen struggled to face PBKS bowling line and starts to lose wickets without scoring an impact on the scoreboard.
After 15 overs: CSK scored 98 runs for 7 wickets loss. CSK’s final hope Shivam Dube lost his wicket in the 15th over to Liam Livingstone where Bravo too loses his wicket in the followed delivery and went pavilion for a golden duck.
After 18 Overs: CSK loses all 10 wickets for 126 runs. Once again CSK lower order fails to perform in the last 5 overs. Irrespective of winning they failed to drag the team towards the end of the innings.

Liam Livingstone | PBKS
The first two games hadn’t gone my way. Good to contribute to a win. Thought the boys did brilliantly. We got to a target which we thought was defendable and our seam bowlers were outstanding in the powerplay. Got to try as smart as we can.
All our conversations have been ‘try and be as exciting as we can’. Nice to get a few today. I’ve been swinging hard enough, nice to get a couple off the middle today. You don’t need to remind me about it (his IPL record previously).
Struggled with RR as well last year. Nice to have a performance like this. Bowling is something I really enjoy. Something I’ve spent a lot of time on. Been nice to contribute. Hopefully as the tournament goes on, my spin comes into play.
I also bat in the nets with Odean Smith, he’s got me covered by a long way, trust me. I’m sure he’ll get going at some point and you’ll see why.
