Captains View
Faf du Plessis | RCB Captain
We’ll have a bowl. Just the trend and with the dew effect. The pitch does look very different, so we’ll have to see what the dew does. The fact that pleases me is that we hung in in the last game. It gives a lot of confidence to the group. Even though you aren’t playing at your best, it is pleasing. We’re playing the same team.
Sanju Samson | RR Captain
Not too disappointed (at losing the toss). It looks like a completely different surface to the ones we played in the last few games. Our standards in our bowling and batting. We should all take care of our own roles and try to win the small moments. Same team.
IPL 2022 RR vs RCB Highlights
Rajasthan Royals Batting
Jos Buttler and Jaiswal gets into the crease to lead Rajasthan Royals while Siraj opens the bowling attack.
Willey in the 2nd over of the innings dismissed Jaiswal for 4 runs but still, the dangerous batter Jos Buttler is on the crease with bat. Devdutt Padikkal and Jos Buttler joins hands and starts to lead the innings.
At the end of the 6th over, RR scored 35 runs for 1 wicket loss. This may not be the expected start for the Rajasthan Royals but the standing duo has the capability of turning things in their favour.
RCB puts all their effort to break the partnership but it took a bit to make the expected break. Harshal Patel in the 10th over dismissed Padikkal for 37 runs while RR scored 76 runs for 2 wickets loss.
Jos Buttler on joining hands with Shimron Hetmyer makes an 83 runs partnership and leads RR to score 169 runs for 3 wickets loss at the end of the 20 overs.
Royal Challengers Bangalore Batting

RCB made steady innings and leads RCB to score 48 runs for no wickets loss at the end of the 6 overs. Though the duo makes a steady inning, ex-RCBian Chahal dismissed RCB skipper Faf du Plessis for 29 runs.
Navdeep Saini in the followed over dismissed Anuj Rawat for 26 runs and keeps the momentum. Chahal in the followed over takes to the next level by packing 2 wickets off the same over.
While Virat Kohli loses his wicket via a run-out dismissal Willey loses his wicket in a clean bowled out for 0 run. At the end of the 10 overs, RCB scored 69 runs for 4 wickets loss.
Boult for his counterpart took two wickets by dismissing Rutherford(5) and Shahbaz Ahmed(45) in 13th and 18th over respectively.

Player of the Match
Dinesh Karthik | RCB
I think I made a conscious effort this year to do justice to myself because the last year, I felt I could have done better. The way I trained was much better this time around. Credit to the person who trained with me.
I’m making a conscious effort to tell myself that I’m not done yet. When I went in, we needed 12 rpo and had to keep going. I train for these situations. To stay calm and know whom you can take down.
I’ve tried to play as much white-ball cricket as possible, and prepare as many scenarios as possible. Lot of people have spent time with me in this journey, leading upto the tournament and it’s the work that goes unnoticed mostly.
I think T20 cricket, it’s mostly premeditating but you also need to be clear about where to target.
