We would have bowled first. As a spinner I always wanted to play a day game, but it’s a part and parcel of the game. Cannot give excuses. We have one change. Theekshana comes in for Pretorius.

Chennai Super Kings Batting
Uthappa and Gaikwad open the innings while Bhuvneshwar opens the bowling attack. Though CSK planned a new strategy to make a steady inning, Washington Sundar in the 4th over dismissed Uthappa for 15 runs and draws the first blood.
T Natarajan in the 6th over dismissed Gaikwad for 16 runs and dismissed both openers in the powerplay for 41 runs.
CSK batters struggled to score runs and managed to score 154 runs for 7 wickets loss at the end of the innings.
Sunrisers Hyderabad Batting
Abhishek Sharma and Williamson get into the crease while Mukesh Choudhary opens the batting attack. At the end of the 6 overs, SRH scored 37 runs for no wicket loss.
CSK struggles to make their first wicket which leads SRH to score 69 runs at the end of the 10 overs. Mukesh Choudhary in the 13th over dismissed Williamson for 32 runs and makes the first breakthrough.
Abhishek Sharma loses his wicket after scoring 75 runs while SRH was near the victory line. With a boundary from Pooran and Tripathi SRH registered their first victory of the IPL 2022 season by beating CSK by 8 wickets.

It was a pressure game for the whole team and me as well as we didn’t do well in the first two games. I am pretty much lucky to have a team like SRH because they’ve been very supportive through this journey.
I was just waiting for an innings like this. It’s a good start for me and I look forward to score more innings like this. (Message from the dressing room) They just wanted me to bat my natural game and just go with my instincts.
I wanted to play an innings like this for my team. 100%, I have been waiting for my bowling. Whenever I get the situation, I am ready for it. I am working with Murali sir and Tom.
