Chennai Super Kings Batting
Ruturaj Gaikwad and Conway walk into the crease to lead the CSK in the first match against KKR. Umesh Yadav opens the bowling attack.
Umesh Yadav opens the innings with a no-ball but makes a quick comeback by dismissing IPL 2021 orange cap winner Ruturaj Gaikwad for duck.
Robin Uthappa and Devon Conway tried to make a partnership after the star opening batsman failed to make some runs. But Yadav strikes back and dismissed Conway for 3 runs and draws the second wicket for the CSK.
At the end of the 5 overs, CSK scored 29 runs for 2 wickets loss. While Uthappa started to strike some confident shots, Varun Chakaravarthy dismissed him with a wideout stump and sent him back to the pavillion.
In the followed-over, Narine dismissed Rayudu via a run-out dismissal for 15 runs. At the end of the 10 overs, CSK scored 57 runs for 4 wickets loss.
Russell in the following dismissed Shivam Dube and loads pressure over the CSK. MS Dhoni and Jadeja join hands and are in need to build a massive partnership to score a decent run.
MS Dhoni and Jadeja made a steady partnership and leads CSK to score 131 runs for 5 wickets loss. CSK made to this with MS Dhoni’s vintage mode where he scored his 24th IPL 50 at a strike rate of 131.58.

Kolkata Knight Riders Batting
Rahane and Venkatesh Iyer walks into the crease to lead KKR to chase down the target of 132 runs. Tushar Deshpande opens the bowling attack.
KKR made a comfortable start while CSK struggled to make the first diamissal. At the end of the 6 overs, KKR scored 43 runs for no wickets loss. CSK gets under pressure to pick quick wickets in order to stay alive in the tournament.
CSK skipper bring Dwayne Bravo to bowl the 7th over where Bravo proved his worth by dismissing Venkatesh Iyer for 16 runs. Dwayne Bravo in his second over dismissed Rana for 21 runs and made quick wickets as expected.
At the end of the 10 overs, KKR Scored 76 runs for 2 wickets loss. Santner did his job a little delayed but dismissed well-settled player Rahane for 44 runs. At the end of the 12 overs, KKR scored 90 runs for 3 wickets loss.
Sam Billings and Shreyas Iyer join hands and are in need to drag the KKR to register their first victory of the tournament. Shreyas Iyer and Sheldon Jackson join hands and lead KKR to achieve their first victory of the season.
