    Shreyas Iyer

    In February 2015, Iyer was signed in the 2015 IPL players auction by the Delhi Daredevils for 2.6 crores (approximately $430,000). Thus Iyer became the highest-earning uncapped player in the tournament.

    He scored 439 runs in 14 matches, with a 33.76 average and a strike rate of 128.36, making Iyer the 9th most consistent player and Emerging Player of 2015 IPL.

    Iyer was retained by Delhi Daredevils in the 2018 IPL Auction. On 25 April 2018, he was announced as the new captain of Delhi Daredevils replacing Gautam Gambhir.

    On 27 April 2018, he became the youngest captain to lead the Delhi Daredevils team in the IPL history at the age of 23 years and 142 days during the match against Kolkata Knight Riders and was also the fourth overall youngest to captain any IPL side.

    On his IPL captaincy debut, Shreyas Iyer smashed an unbeaten match-winning knock of 93 off 40 deliveries with 10 sixes, which was his third successive IPL fifty of the season to power DD to a heavy total of 219/5 in the first innings of the match before earning him the man of the match award.

    Under his captaincy, Delhi Daredevils managed to defeat KKR by 55 runs to secure only their second win of the tournament. Iyer was retained by the Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2019 season which he led the team into the playoffs for the first time after seven years.

    In the 2020 season, he continued as the captain for Delhi Capitals and he also led them to their maiden IPL final against the Mumbai Indians. Iyer scored an unbeaten 65 off 50 balls in a losing effort as Mumbai Indians won the final.

    He missed the half-season of IPL 2021 due to an injury in his Left Shoulder while playing for India in the first match of an ODI series against England in the same year. He made his comeback after a span of 6 months for Delhi Capitals.

    Iyer in his so far IPL career scored 2375 runs with the highest score of 96 runs at an average of 31.66.

    In December 2018, he was bought by the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the player auction for the 2019 Indian Premier League.

    In March 2019, he was named as one of eight players to watch by the International Cricket Council (ICC) ahead of the 2019 Indian Premier League tournament.

    He was released by the Royal Challengers Bangalore ahead of the 2020 IPL auction. In the 2020 IPL auction, he was bought by the Delhi Capitals ahead of the 2020 Indian Premier League.

    Shimron Hetmyer in his IPL career scored 517 runs with the highest score of 75 runs from featuring in 31 matches.

    In January 2018, he was bought by the Rajasthan Royals in the 2018 IPL auction. He was released by the Rajasthan Royals ahead of the 2020 IPL auction. In the 2020 IPL auction, he was bought by the Kolkata Knight Riders ahead of the 2020 Indian Premier League.

    In February 2022, he was bought by the Sunrisers Hyderabad for INR 8.50 crores in the auction for the 2022 Indian Premier League tournament.

    The senior batsman Dhawan made his IPL debut in the inaugural season where he played for Punjab Kings and scored 340 runs with a highest of 68*.

    Dhawan made his comeback from injury during the 2013 Indian Premier League in a match for Sunrisers Hyderabad against Chennai Super Kings on 25 April and scored 63 runs from 45 balls. He played 10 matches that season and scored 311 runs at an average of 38.87 including three fifties.

    Dhawan was selected captain of the Sunrisers Hyderabad team prior to the start of the 2013 Champions League Twenty20 tournament. He was later replaced by Darren Sammy as captain of Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 2014 Indian Premier League.

    Dhawan was retained by Sunrisers Hyderabad for the 2017 Indian Premier League. He scored 479 runs in 14 matches at an average of 36.84 in the tournament. His side was knocked out by the Kolkata Knight Riders in the playoffs.

    In the 2018 IPL Auction, Dhawan was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad for ₹ 5.2 crores using their RTM (right to match) card. In the 2018 Indian Premier League, he scored 497 runs, his side finished runners-up after losing to Chennai Super Kings in the final.

    He was traded to Delhi Capitals for the 2019 season. For Dhawan’s performances in the 2019 IPL season, he was named in the Cricinfo IPL XI.

    On 20 October 2020, Dhawan became the first batsman in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL) to score back-to-back hundreds and on the same day, he became the fifth batsman to cross the 5000 runs mark in the Indian Premier League (IPL) after David Warner.

    Dhawan, 34, is the 3rd in the list of top run-scorers in IPL 2020. Shikhar Dhawan has completed 600 runs in IPL 2020. Dhawan has joined KL Rahul in reaching 600 runs this IPL 2020 edition. He scored 587 runs in IPL 2021, finishing fourth in the orange cap list.

    In the 2022 IPL Auction, Dhawan was bought by the Punjab Kings for ₹ 8.25 crores.

    Dhawan in his IPL career so far scored 5783 runs with the highest score of 106 at an average of 34.63 while featuring in 192 matches.
