We will bowl first. We will get hit off good deliveries but it is important to assess as a bowler. Cricket is a mental game and adaptability is a key factor. Overall it’s a mental game than a physical aspect. Looks a bit tacky and a bit more grass. Bit of dew settles down a bit and in the second innings as well, the first few overs are really crucial. We are playing the same team.

We did well in the last game and we should try and assess the pitch and put some runs on the board. Pitch looks good. When any set batter is batting it is tough to control and I try to encourage my bowlers and even if they go for runs it’s okay. Supporting them and backing them is really important. No changes for us. Same team.

KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal opens the batting for the PBKS while Deepak Chahar opens the bowling attack against the PBKS.
Chahar in the very first over pf the innings dismissed Mayank Agarwal for duck and shouts his comeback with his aggressive delivery.
In the previous match, many criticise the CSK’s bowling attack. Moreover, MSD himself admitted that the weak bowling attack was the reason for CSK’s defeat in the first league match of the IPL 2021.
The dangerous duo Gayle and KL Rahul continued the innings. Giving a heart attack Jadeja with his outstanding fielding skill dismissed KL Rahul via a run out in the Chahar’s over for just 5 runs.

Chahar in his third over of the innings made a huge impact by dismissing two-star players of the PBKS. Chahar with a knuckleball of the second delivery dismissed Gayle for 10 runs. In his fourth delivery of the over Chchar with a short ball dismissed Pooran for another duck.
Literally, PBKS loses their top 4 wickets within the first 5 overs for a score of 19 runs. PBKS is in need to build a massive partnership which could boost their runs in scorecard.
Shahrukh Khan is the player who puts his all effort to move PBKS to score beyond 100 runs in total. With his 47 runs off 36 deliveries, PBKS scored 106 runs for 8 wickets loss at the end of the 20 overs.
Chennai Super Kings(CSK) Batting
Ruturaj Gaikwad and Faf du Plessis opens the batting attack for the CSK while Shami opens the bowling attack against CSK.
With a target of 107 runs, SK openers made it slow at first. Faf and Ruturaj seek the lose balls and made runs off that deliveries without any rush.
Somehow Arshdeep Singh managed to draw the first blood for the CSK by dismissing Gaikwad for 5 runs. Moeen Ali gets in to the strike and starts to hit aggressively as he no time to waste to taste the first victory.

The duo leads CSK to score 64 runs for the same 1 wickets loss at the end of the 10 overs. Murugan Ashwin in the id of 13th over dismissed Moeen Ali for 46 runs. Though CSK lose a couple of wickets in Shami’s over CSK manages to clinch the first victory of the tournament by beating PBKS by 6 wickets.

I think Mayank’s wicket I enjoyed the most – a dream ball for a bowler to swing and hit top of off stump. You want to pitch it close to middle and then move to hit top of off. First over, when the catch went to Ruturaj, it was a quick one, only Jaddu could’ve taken that so I was like he should’ve been there.
He’s one of the best in the world, has taken so many catches off my bowling. I want 11 Jaddus on the field. I am always the one who starts the tone for the match. If I take a wicket or bowl a maiden over then obviously we can take the momentum.
It’s a big responsibility I’ve been having since the last four years and Mahi bhai has shown faith in me. Hopefully, I can deliver in some more matches. As a bowler, my plan is to bowl dots if I don’t take wickets. The bowlers from the other end will also be able to take wickets.
