We’re bowling first. This wicket will play a little different, it’s a lot drier. There wasn’t much dew in the last training session, and so that won’t make much of a difference. We know what we can chase to be honest, and we prefer doing that. Our foreign players are myself, Rashid Khan, Nabi and Jonny Bairstow.

Kolkata Knight Riders(KKR) Batting
Nitish Rana and Shubman Gill opens the attack onbehalf of the KKR. Bhuvneshwar Kumar opens the bowling attack against KKR.
Nitish Rana started the innings with a boundary of the very first delivery from Bhuvi. KKR openers gave a steady start for the team which makes a 50 runs partnership for the first wicket. At the end of the 6th over Rashid Khan dismissed Shubman Gill for 15 runs and breaks the partnership.
Tripathi join hands with Rana and makes an impressive partnership and loads pressure over SRH’s bowling unit. This duo added a 93 runs partnership for the next wicket. SRH bowlers struggle to break the partnership.

Finally, at the 15 over of the innings, T Natarajan dismisses Tripathi and breaks the partnership. Rana is the man behind the KKR’s successful high run rate. Rana scored 80 runs off the 56 balls before losing his wicket to Nabi.
With DK’s 9 balls 22 runs KKR scored 187 runs for 6 wickets loss at the end of the 20 overs.
Sunrisers Hyderabad(SRH) Batting
W Saha and David Warner gets into lead SRH to chase the target of 188 runs in the allotted 20 overs. Harbhajan Singh opens the attack on behalf of the KKR.
With a catch drop of the first over David Warner loses his wicket to Prasidh for just 3 runs. Soon in the very next over Shakib dismissed Saha for 7 runs and loads pressure over the SRH batting unit.
After two quick wickets Manish Pandey and Jonny Bairstow join hands and leads SRH to score past 100 run mark for the next wicket. The duo added a massive 92 runs partnership to the SRH scoreboard.

The steady partnership has been broken by Cummins by dismissing Bairstow for 55 runs off 40 deliveries. Though Manish Pandey makes impressive knocks the fellow teammates struggled to make a steady partnership with him and wind up while scoring 177 runs for 5 wicjkets in the allotted 20 overs.
As a result KKR beats SRH by 10 runs and registered their maiden victory of the tournament.

I thought the ball was in my slot so I went for it and luckily got four off my first ball. In my mind there’s only one thing: play my shots if the ball is there. Just backed myself. Have played a lot of spin growing up.
