Royal Challengers Bangalore(RCB) Batting
Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal gets into the crease to lead RCB while Varun opens the bowling attack. Soon RCB skipper Virat Kohli loses his wicket in the second over after scoring just 5 runs.
Debutant KS Bharat gets into the crease to join hands with Padikkal. The young Padikal loses his wicket to Lockie Ferguson while he seems to be a bit settled with the bat. Padikkal walks after scoring just 22 runs.
Maxell gets into the crease but debutant KS Bharat has to walks to Pavillion after giving a catch to Gill. RCB struggles to withstand the KKR’s magical spinner Varun and starts to lose quick wickets.
Varun dismisses Maxwell and Wanindu Hasaranga in back-to-back deliveries. RCB wind up their innings by scoring 92 runs by losing all 10 wickets with an over left to bowl.
Kolkata Knight Riders Innings
Venkatesh Iyer and Gill get into a chase down the target of 92 runs. RCB needs to pick quick wickets as KKR did to stay alive in the game.
But KKR’s openers makes an impressive start. Without getting delay KKR finished the match at 10th over with one wicket loss. KKR won the game by 9 wickets.

Varun Chakravarthy
I try to assess the pitch first. It was flat only. Would like to give credit to the bowlers who bowled in the powerplay for the discipline. There wasn’t much in the pitch. Wasn’t much spin on offer so I had to keep it on the stumps.
I thought it was out (the hattrick ball) but just saw the replay that there was an inside edge. Definitely made me feel better, and got a sense of acceptance from the people around me. Started very late in my career. Now me getting picked for India gives me a sense of acceptance.
