The fast bowler Renuka Singh was named in the T20I and Test squad for India’s upcoming home tour against England and Australia.
Indian Women squad for England T20I series
Indian women’s team is scheduled to play a T20I series and a Test match against England starting on December 10. India will be facing Australia in a Test match and an ODI series between December 21- January 2.
With a tight schedule ahead, the Indian team management has announced the squad for the upcoming 2023 schedules.
Fast bowler Renuka Singh was named in the T20I and Test Squad against England and Australia. On the other hand, the side has provided an opportunity to one of the emerging talents in the Women’s Premier League Saika Ishaque. She earned her maiden call-up in both the squads.
Saika has proved her worth as a vital player of the Mumbai Indians who won the title with the help of her left-arm Spin option.
Sheryanka Patil another outstanding performer of WPL, has also earned her maiden T20I call-up. She was known for her leg break in the WPL season and her ability to bat in the low order for the RCB was impressive.
India Test line will be looking forward to having a good start as the side hasn’t featured in the format since 2021. Harmanpreet Kaur will be captaining India for the first time in Test Cricket against Australia and England.
India will be playing against England in a three-match T20I series between December 06-10 and will be facing them in a one-off Test match on December 14. Then They will be facing Australia in a one-off Test match on December 24 and will play in a three ODI match series starting on 28 of the month.
