Stoinis with a boundary of the 8th over from Chris Green reached his half-century in 29 deliveries. The dangerous Stoinis finally dismissed by Jonathan Cook while scoring 61 runs off 37 deliveries.
Maxwell after contributing 39 runs for the team get dismissed by Chris Green and returns to Pavillion. At the end of the 15th over Melbourne Stars scored 135 runs for 4 wicket loss.
Ben Dunk and Nick Larkin join hands and expected to lead Melbourne Stars. But Sangha makes a breakthrough by dismissing Ben Dunk for 16 runs. In the following over Chris Green dismissed Hinchliffe for 1 run and puts pressure on Melbourne Stars.

At the end of the 15th over Sydney Thunder scored 116 runs for 3 wicket loss and in need of 54 runs to win the match. Liam Hatcher in the 17th over dismissed Daniel Sams and Cutting of the same over and makes a massive blow for Sydney Thunder while chasing.
Sydney Thunder are in need of 36 runs off the last 12 deliveries. Cutting in the 19th over makes a couple of wickets by dismissing Ross(18) and Chris Green(5). Adam Zampa gets into bowl the final over of the innings and bagged a couple of wickets by dismissing McAndrew(6) and Baxter Holt(1).
With a massive effort in both bat and ball, Melbourne Stars beats Sydney Thunder by 22 runs.
