    BCCI Secretary Jay Shah Shares Picture of ‘Magnificent’ Motera Stadium, Check Stadium Details

    Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Jay Shah on Sunday posted a wonderful picture of the new Sardar Patel Gujarat Stadium, prevalently known as the Motera Stadium, in Ahmedabad.

    Shah took to his official Twitter handle and gave a brief look at the new arena to the cricket fans.

    Along with the picture, he wrote, “Magnificent Motera!

    The Motera Stadium, which was at first worked in 1982 and had facilitated its first match among India and West Indies around the same time, was shut and wrecked in 2015.

    Over the most recent two years, the arena was totally reconstructed at an expected expense of 700 crores before the redevelopment work was done by February 2020.

    The new arena facilitated the opening of ‘Namaste Trump‘, which was the debut visit of US President Donald Trump on February 24 this year.

    The redeveloped arena’s intricate is spread across more than 64 sections of land and can suit 1.10 lakh viewers.

    Following the reconstructed, the Motera Stadium has become the biggest cricket arena on the planet, overwhelming the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) in Australia which has a seating limit of a little over a lakh. The arena Down Under was established in the year 1853.

    The new arena in Ahmedabad comprises of two huge seating levels, each having a rough broad confirmation seat limit of 50,000 and a colossal single benefactor concourse with 360-degree perspectives on the field.

    The Motera Stadium contains 76 corporate boxes, four changing areas, an Olympic size pool, three practice grounds, an indoor cricket foundation, and a stopping region. The parking area can suit up to 3,000 vehicles and around 10,000 bikes.

    The Board of Control for Cricket in India is tired of trusting that the International Cricket Council will settle on the ICC T20 World Cup 2020 and has decided to start planning for the year ahead.

    A report in Times of India said the barricade is drawing a provisional window for the Indian Premier League 2020, independent of ICC’s choice on the T20 World Cup.

    Treasurer Arun Dhumal affirmed that the opportunity has arrived for BCCI to begin anticipating the year ahead.

    “The year started on a horrible note and there’s been no relief on any front. But as time goes by, we need to take things head-on and ensure that we remain prepared for any eventuality. Cricket is no different. It is time for the BCCI to start planning for the year ahead,” Dhumal told Times of India.
