England Cricket Players Salary: Like other cricket boards, the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) also offers an attractive salary package for their cricketers. As of 2023, ECB has a reported net worth of $59 million and remains the third richest cricket board in the world.
In 2021, England switched to a new system of central contracts which was a departure from the previous separation of red-ball and white-ball deals the ECB introduced in 2016.
In 2023, the ECB announced that England Women cricketers will also receive the same match fees as their male counterparts in a move that will boost their pay by thousands of pounds.
England Cricket Players Salary
ECB will allocate the salary for the players based on various categories which are listed below:
Players who play both Red Ball and White Ball cricket will be rewarded with Central Contracts which will play an annual salary of 900,000 Pounds.
Players with Test match contracts will receive an annual salary of 650,000 Pounds while the White Ball contracts players will receive 250,000 to 350,000 Pounds annually, excluding county salaries.
The Incremental Contracts are granted to players deemed by the ECB to be the best stars who have the potential to be successful.
The development contracts are awarded to those players the England management team feel will play a pivotal role for the team in the future and enable the ECB to support them further over the next 12 months.
