Player of the Match
Thomas Stewart Rogers | Melbourne Renegades
I thought Cooper Connolly played a hell of a knock. Tight little game in the end. Last few games have been slightly bowler friendly. But yeah, happy with the areas (I’m hitting). The outfield has been quite similar for the last few years.
It’s a top-class facility in that it’s hosting phenomenal events throughout the year. Groundstaff do a pretty good job to get it up and running. Might not look amazing for the first game or two, but the footing is fine. Wicket wise – 140 plays 140, both teams did pretty good. Little bit of excitement leading in (to the season).
We’ve got a nice squad put together. But it means nothing if you’re not getting the wins on the board. After a disappointing performance in the first game, the bowlers wanted to come back and improve from that. Fortunately we’re heading into Christmas feeling slightly better.
