Just so glad that we were able to get over the line. There’s a lot of emotions going through when you are six or seven down and not many on the board. You start to think about ‘is our season over?’.
It’s been a wild night, so glad that we were able to get the job done. (Exhausted?) Slogging is hard, a lot more tiring than running between wickets. I was a little bit tired and the ground is obviously extremely heavy. It tested me a little bit there in the end but I will be fine.
(Partnership with Mir) I was pretty clear on what I wanted to do, how many balls I needed to target during the over and as soon it’s the last ball, I had to try and find a single. I had plenty of gaps. I knew if I could take it a bit deeper, the ball a bit older, it wouldn’t be moving as much and hope I can cash in.
