I said to Nikki (Nikhil Chaudhary), I actually can’t hit the ball tonight. I got a bit lucky and got on a roll. So it’s a really nice feeling. We knew it was going to be a good batting pitch, especially as it was sprinkling a bit when we were batting in the first half of the innings. Nice to get those sort of ones out here.
Love batting on skiddy pitches under lights. Just stoked to be able to make the most of it. It’s been a while since I’ve felt that good in the middle. We spoke a lot before this season because we’ve all been disappointed with how the last couple have gone. And we don’t want to carry that baggage.
In saying that, we’ve found a template and we’re proud of the way we’re playing at the moment, but we’re (only) five games in. Business end of the season is coming up and that’s what we have to be primed for.
