Australia womens T20I Tri series
Women’s T20I Tri-Nation series played by India,England and Australia. The first match takes place between India and England in canberra at January 31 2020. Indian women’s team won the toss and elect to bowl first.
England’s Batting
The openers of England women’s team failed to show a good start in their first match. Amy jones(1) and Danni Wyatt(4) returns to pavillion without scoring a big number for their team. The Heather Knight score 67 from just 44,Tammy Beaumont(37) and Natalie Sciver(20). That makes a total of 147 in the alloted twenty over. Rajeshwari Gayakwad of India uproot 2 wickets for 19 runs in 4 overs.
India’s winning performance
With a target of 147 from 20 overs Indian women’s team started their batting. The most expected Arjuna Award winner Smriti Mandhana loose her wicket for 15 runs. Heather Knight took the Indian opener Shafali Verma(30) wicket that makes Indian team to play underpressure. Then the Harmanpreet Kaur with 42 off 34 balls drags the team to win their first match . In a total of 18 T20I format matches played so far this makes the India’s 4th win against the England.

Harmanpreet-Milestone
Harmanpreet is the first and only Indian women who plays 50 T20I matches as captain. The match against England women’s team made her to acheive this.

Knight: “I rode my luck a bit. The wicket did dry out and get better. There’s loads of things we can improve and get better for tomorrow.”
After a winning performance Harmanpreet Kaur says:”We were really happy with the support and happy we could do that. I’m really happy that our young players could play with freedom. We have to work hard on our fielding. We need to improve.”
