Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja ruled out of the T20I series vs Australia and replaced by Shardul Thakur.

Ravindra Jadeja sustained a concussion after being hit on the left side of his forehead by a bouncer from Mitchell Starc. In the last over of the 1st innings, Jadeja faced the deadly delivery and had a smash in the helmet.
Soon Jadeja walked out of the yard where Chahal has replaced for Jadeja in the second innings.
India beat Australia by 11 runs in the 1st T20I where replacement bowler Chahal took 3 wickets and restricts Australian players to score further.
Along with Chahal the debutant T Natarajan too made his maiden T20I wicket where Nattu bags a total of 3 wickets in the 1st T20I against Australia.
Jadeja replaced by Shardul Thakur
Jadeja has replaced by Shardul Thakur in the remaining T20I matches against Australia.
“The All-India Senior Selection Committee has added Shardul Thakur to India’s T20I squad”, the BCCI statement reads.
BCCI Statement on Jadeja’s injury
BCCI in a media release said that Jadeja will remain under observation. He will be taken for further scans if required. “The diagnosis was confirmed based on a clinical assessment in the dressing room during the innings break by the BCCI Medical Team.
Jadeja remains under observation and will be taken for further scans if required based on the assessment on Saturday morning. He will not take any further part in the ongoing T20I series,” the statement read.
