Asia Cup 2023 Rules: Asia Cup 2023 is scheduled to be hosted by Pakistan and Sri Lanka between August and September 2023. As per the Asia Cup 2023 schedule, the first match will be played between Pakistan and Nepal on August 30 at Multan Cricket Stadium, Multan.

Asia Cup 2023 Rules: Asia Cup 2023 will also be the first of its kind to be co-hosted by multiple countries. Four matches of the Asia Cup 2023 will be played in Pakistan while the remaining nine matches of the tournament will be played in Sri Lanka.
The six teams of the Asia Cup 2023 will be divided into 2 groups of three teams. The top 2 teams of the Asia Cup 2023 points table of each group will advance to the Super Four round where the top two teams will advance to the final.

Asia Cup 2023 Format
- Asia Cup 2023 will follow a Round-robin and knockout format where a total of 13 matches will be played including the Final.
- Six teams of the Asia Cup 2023 will be divided into two groups of three teams each.
- India, Pakistan and Nepal – champions of the qualifier event (2023 ACC Men’s Premier Cup), have been placed in Group A, while the defending champions Sri Lanka are grouped with Bangladesh and Afghanistan in Group B
- A total of 6 group matches will be played where the top 2 teams of each group will advance to the Super Four round.
- Another 6 games will be played in the Super Four round where each team will play 3 matches against the remaining 3 teams of the Super Four round.
- Pakistan and India were seeded as A1 & A2 While Bangladesh and Sri Lanka were seeded as B1 & B2. In case Nepal and Afghanistan qualify for the Super Four stage, they will take the slot of the team knocked out (Pakistan or India in Group A and Sri Lanka or Bangladesh in Group B).
- The top 2 teams of the Super Six points table will advance to the Final game.
Asia Cup 2023 Rules
Asia Cup 2023 Rules: The Asia Cup 2023 tournament will follow the One Day International format and a total of 50 overs bowled per inning. Check out the Asia Cup 2023 Rules below:
- Each team will bowl a total of 50 overs during their inning.
- The match will be played between two teams of 11 players and the winning captain at the toss decides whether their team will bat or bowl first.
- Each bowler is restricted to bowling a maximum of 10 overs, therefore teams often have five competent bowlers within their line-ups.
- In addition to this, there are three levels of fielding restrictions which are known as powerplays.
- Powerplay 1: For the first 10 overs of both innings, the fielding team may have up to two fielders outside the 30-yard circle which encourages attacking fields during the first powerplay.
- Powerplay 2: Between overs 11 to 40, four fielders are allowed to be positioned outside the 30-yard circle.
- Powerplay 3: During the final 10 overs, five fielders will be allowed outside the 30-yard circle.
- If a batsman gets out of some way (like LBW, caught behind etc.) and the fielding team does not appeal for out then the batsman can not be given out even if the batsman was clearly out. An appeal is mandatory as per the ICC’s rule number 27
- A batsman is declared out if a bail is completely removed from the top of the stumps. If the bails don’t fall even after the ball hits the wicket then the batsman shall be declared Not out.

- If the striker is dismissed/caught, runs from that delivery completed by the batsmen before the completion of the catch shall not be scored or counted as run.
- At least 14.28 overs should be thrown in the one-day match every hour, otherwise, the captain of the fielding side shall be penalised for a slow over-rate.
- Apart from the above-mentioned rules, Asia Cup 2023 will also follow the DRS and DLS.
