Asia Cup 2023 is set to start on August 30 where Pakistan will have a clash with Nepal in the inaugural match. Pakistan, India and Nepal were placed in Group A while Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan have been named in Group B.

When International Cricket Council released the official promo for ODI World Cup 2023, featuring Bollywood star Shahrukh Khan, it wasn’t well recognized by many fans, especially Pakistan’s audience.

The 16th edition of the Asia Cup tournament is scheduled to play between August – September and will be jointly hosted by Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Initially, the Asia Cup 2023 was scheduled to take place in 2021 but owing to the COVID-19 pandemic the tournament was postponed.
Asia Cup 2023 will also be the first of its kind to be co-hosted by multiple countries. Four matches of the Asia Cup 2023 will be played in Pakistan while the remaining nine matches of the tournament will be played in Sri Lanka.
Asia Cup will follow both ODI and T20I formats and alternates every 2 years. The Asia Cup 2023 will follow the 50-overs format. The four matches will take place in Pakistan and the remaining nine games including the final, will be played in Sri Lanka.
India is set to travel to Pakistan to take part in the Continental event, which will serve as a warm-up tournament for the team ahead of the ICC men’s ODI World Cup 2023, which will be starting on October 5 hosted by India.
India is one of the most successful teams in the history of the Asia Cup, with seven titles in their hand. The Defending Champions Sri Lanka have won six times, while Pakistan won for a total of two times.
