Nepal Innings
Kushal Bhurtel and Aasif Sheikh opened for Nepal while Mohammad Shami opened the bowling attack. Kushal Bhurtel had scored 38 runs and was sent out by Thakur. Aasif Sheikh had scored 58 runs on 97 deliveries and was sent out by Mohammad Siraj. With the dismissal of Bhim Sharki, Rohit Paudel and Kushal Malla by Ravindra Jadeja with low figures, Nepal was down to 132 for 5 wickets.

Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill opened for Rohit Sharma opened for India while Karan opened bowling attack. While India’s playing their innings, the rainfall started and stopped the match with India scoring 17 runs on 2.1 overs. After rain, Umpires used DLS method to calculate the scores and target. With target of 145 in 23 overs, Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill resumed their innings where the skipper scored 74 runs on 59 deliveries including six boundaries and 5 sixes. Not really (happy with the knock), some nerves to start with but once I got my eye in, I wanted to get the team home. That was not intentional (the flick-sweep), I wanted to chip it over short fine but the bats these days are so good.
When we came here we knew what our World Cup 15 is going to be like, the Asia Cup was not going to give us a better picture because it was only two games. But luckily we got to bat in the first game and bowl in this, so that made it a complete game for us.
Still have a lot to work on. Lot of guys coming back from injuries and they need time to get back into the groove. Hardik and Ishan were very good in the last game to get us to that score. The bowling was okay today but the fielding was bad, we need to improve on that.
