Jake Fraser-McGurk was named the Player of the Match after smashing 84 runs to give Delhi a good Start.
Coming to the match, Mumbai Indians won the toss and opted to bowl. Jake Fraser McGurk and Abishek Porel gave a good start to Delhi smashing a partnership score of 114 for the first wickets in the 8th over.
After the dismissal of Jake Fraser for 84 runs by Chawla, Shai Hope came to bat and scored 41 runs. Abishek Porel was dismissed for 36 runs by Nabi while Hope was sent back to the dugout by Luke Wood.
With the dismissal of Pant for 29 runs by Bumrah, Tristan Stubbs and Axar Patel scored unbeaten 48 and 11 runs to help the side set up a target of 257 runs in the match.
With a target of 258 runs, Mumbai opened their innings where Khaleel Ahmed sent Rohit Sharma out for 8 runs. With Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav‘s 20 and 26 runs, Mumbai lost three wickets scoring 65 runs with one ball remaining for power play to end.
Tilak Varma and Hardik Pandya helped the side to get back in the game with 63 and 46 runs. After their dismissal, Tim David was the only scorer as he smashed 37 runs in 17 balls.
Mohammad Nabi and Piyush Chawla were sent out with 7 and 10 runs respectively. Rasikh Salam and Mukesh Kumar bagged three wickets each in the match while Khaleel Ahmed bagged two.
Finally, with Luke Wood’s 9 runs, Mumbai Indians scored 247, losing 9 wickets by the end of 20 overs and losing the match by 10 runs.
