We will bowl. Don’t know what happens here with the dew, so we are gonna chase tonight. It’s been a bit of up and down tournament for us. It’s been a tough one, we’ve got Varun Aaron in tonight, who wasn’t fit for a while. He brings a lot of paces and comes in for Rajpoot. Hopefully, he can add something for us in the Powerplay.

    KL Rahul | KXIP Skipper

I would’ve looked to bowl as well but looks like a good wicket, so will remain the same for the 40 overs. It’s just everything coming together, In the last four or five games, we’ve come really well. It’s good to see and it’s been a complete team effort. We would look to go out there and enjoy ourselves. Ben Stoke | RR

I think when you are in a position like we are, you have nothing to lose. We are still hanging in. That is pleasing. The sixes are always pleasing. I went in the same mentality like I did against MI. Wanted to go hard with the new ball.

We had a decent break from the last game. It’s that shot you don’t expect to go to the boundary, that sort of a short gives me confidence and gives the feeling it’s going to be a good outing. We normally have a quick turnaround. I cut down on the bowling part in the break to remain fresh.

Ruturaj Gaikwad Receives Praises From his Skipper MS Dhoni

Chennai Super Kings(CSK) skipper MS Dhoni praises young cricketer Ruturaj Gaikwad after his match-winning knock against KKR. Earlier Ruturaj with his impressive knock leads CSK to win against RCB in their second meeting of the tournament.

Ruturaj Gaikwad with his impressive 72 runs off 53 deliveries makes an extraordinary opening for the CSK. Followed by Ravindra Jadeja’s unbeaten 31 in 11 balls helped Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in beating Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by six-wickets.

    Dhoni Praises Ruturaj Gaikwad

“We’d seen him in the nets, but then he turned Covid positive and it took him 20 days to get back. Unfortunate, but he’ll remember this season,” said Dhoni in the post-match presentation ceremony in which Gaikwad won his second Player of the Match award on the trot.

“He’s one of the most talented players around. What makes it difficult is he’s not somebody who speaks a lot. So sometimes it becomes difficult for the management to gauge a player. Once he started going in the innings, you could see that he was hitting the ball the way he wants.

“When we made him play the first game, he got out after stepping out. It was difficult to tell whether it was the pressure that made him step out or whether that’s his natural game. One ball isn’t enough,” Dhoni said.

Dhoni-led CSK eliminated from IPL 2020

Dhoni-led CSK has been eliminated from the tournament for the first time since 2008. After missing a couple of key bowlers, CSK faces lots and lots of hurdles in the current year’s IPL season.

The three times trophy winners had made it to the playoff in all the 10 seasons it played so far. The 2020 IPL led CSK to script an unwanted record by not being eligible to enter the playoff. CSK holds the bottom spot of the IPL 2020 points table.

“We haven’t performed in the tournament but we felt it’s important to be relevant. That’s what we kept telling the guys. We said you prepare how you want to, but three to three-and-a-half hours during the match, give your best. We are not in the position to qualify (for the playoffs), but there’re plenty of takeaways,” he said.

Varun Chakravarthy Scripts Unique Record After Dismissing Dhoni

KKR’s magical spinner Varun Chakravarthy becomes the first person to dismiss Dhoni twice in IPL. Varun, who is a huge fan of MS Dhoni said that he would watch him blister away sixes from the stands in Chepauk before the IPL 2020. He went on to dismiss Dhoni for the second time during the CSK vs KKR IPL 2020 clash on October 29.

Varun Chakravarthy scripts a record by dismissing Dhoni

By doing so, Varun Chakravarthy became the first-ever bowler to dismiss MS Dhoni twice in a single IPL season. MSD gets in to bat after Rayudu’s dismissal while game-changer Ruturaj on strike.

While facing the fourth delivery of the Varun’s over Dhoni was trapped in to playing it off the back foot and missed the line. The ball thudded into the leg stump and cleans Dhoni while scoring just 1 run.

Ruturaj Gaikwad who scored 72 runs from 53 balls with 6 fours and 2 sixes changes the game flow in favour of CSK. After his dismissal, Jadeja played a vital inning during the end with his quickfire 31 runs off 11 balls with 3 instrumental sixes and 2 boundaries that sealed their win.

    KKR’s view on Dhoni’s dismissal

KKR shared images of Dhoni’s dismissal on Instagram and wrote, “A usual sighting for @chakaravarthyvarun this season! #KKRHaiTaiyaar #Dream11IPL #KKRvCSK”

However, Varun Chakravarthy’s dismissal of CSK’s skipper didn’t help KKR to claim the winning.

Kolkata Knight Riders shared a lovely video of the two having a chat post-match. The video was captioned, “From admiring him from the stands at Chepauk to now…@chakaravarthyvarun’s fairytale continues! #KKR #Dream11IPL #CSKvKKR.” Watch it below.

We are bowling first, a bit worried about the dew. We had some dew during practice, so it’s better to bat second with dew around. We haven’t been at our best, that’s the reason we have been lagging behind. Quite a few changes, Faf, Tahir, Monu out. Watto, Lungi, Karn in. One injury and the rest are changes.

    Eoin Morgan | KKR skipper

One change for us, Rinku Singh in, Prasidh Krishna out. Andre Russell is not near fit yet so he misses out today. We can only control what we can do. We have had an up and down season. We are against a good CSK side. Myself and Brendon are all about freeing people.

CSK bowlers with back to back impressive deliveries restrict KKR run rate as they scored 70 runs for 2 wicket loss at the end of the 10th over.

Jadeja makes the much-needed wicket at the mid of the innings by dismissing Rinku Singh for 11 runs. Rana scored the KKR’s slowest fifty of this season and pumps KKR score to 106 runs for 3 wicket loss at the end of the 15th over.

Rana with an impressive triple six of the Karn Sharma over adds the much-needed runs for the KKR scoreboard. Ngidi puts an end to Rana’s wonderful innings and slows down the KKR score at the death overs.

CSK makes a slow start which leads CSK to score 44 runs for no wicket loss at the end of the powerplay. Watson struggles to find the length ball to hit massive shots and loses his wicket in Chakravarthy’s spell. Watson walks to Pavillion after scoring 14 runs.

Ambati Rayudu then join hands with Ruturaj. CSK is in need to build a partnership that could boost the runs on the scoreboard. As expected the duo starts to hit massive shots and maintains a partnership where Ruturaj makes his second fifty of the tournament.

Cummins breaks the partnership by dismissing Rayudu for 38 runs. Chakravarthy in the next over makes a massive blow for CSK by dismissing MS Dhoni for a run. Again CSK gets in a dangerous position as the required run rate starts to move upwards.

Gaikwad scored his half-century in 37 deliveries

Cummins added pressure to the CSK by dismissing Ruturaj for 72 runs. CSK still has the possibility of chasing the target as Sam Curran and Jadeja is still on the strike. In the 19th over a no-ball followed by a six puts CSK in a better situation. With 10 needed off the last over Sam struggles to make massive shots and uses 3 balls to score 3 runs.

With 7 required from the last 2 deliveries, Jaddu strikes a couple of massive sixes and leads CSK to win the match. Chennai Super Kings beat Kolkata Knight Riders by 6 wickets.

It is feeling good. Pretty confident as well. I have backed myself. Both the innings when I got out early, I knew the situation was a little tough. Covid has made me tough. As our captain says, face every situation with a smile. I stayed positive and didn’t think much about the future.

    Shakib Al Hasan Return

Former Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan is expected to make his return as his 12-month ban has comes to end. Regarding this Bangladesh T20I captain, Mahmudullah has expressed his excitement and happiness in welcoming the former captain.

“Our boy is coming back home, which makes me very happy. We know that Shakib has been the best player for so many years, for the Bangladesh cricket team. We are all eagerly waiting for his return to the dressing room. It feels good to know that we can see him, talk to him and spend time with him,” Mahmudullah told ESPNcricinfo.

“Shakib is a champion player. I think it won’t take him long to get back to the rhythm. I believe that he will get it back as soon as he enters the cricket field. The biggest thing is that we can fill up the gap that his absence had created. He always makes important contributions with the bat and ball,” the T20I captain added.

Shakib, who is currently in America spending time with his family, is soon to return to Bangladesh as he is likely to participate in BCB’s 5-team T20 tournament in November.

Why Shakib Al Hasan banned from cricket

On close investigation by the ACU, ICC found out that the alleged bookie Agarwal had approached Shakib at least thrice, looking for confidential information. Shakib admitted that he was first approached by Agarwal on January 23 and then again on August 27, which he failed to inform the board.

As a result, Shakib Al Hasan has been banned by the ICC from all cricket for two years, with one year of that sentence suspended, after he accepted three charges of breaching the ICC anti-corruption code.

“During these interviews, Mr. Al Hasan was cautioned that the answers and information provided by him could be used as evidence to support a charge or charges in relation to a breach of the Code if they revealed that Mr. Al Hasan might have breached the Code, either by acting corruptly himself or by failing to report corrupt approaches or corrupt actions by others. After receiving these cautions, Mr. Al Hasan admitted various failures to report approaches made to him to provide Inside Information to Mr. Aggarwal,” the ICC said in a statement last year.

The exclusion of Rohit Sharma from the Australia tour raises many questions among cricket experts and fans. Where netizens request BCCI to give a transparency update on this.

    Rohit Sharma Hamstring Injury

Hitman Rohit Sharma faces a hamstring injury during the match against New Zealand played earlier this year. Due to which he ruled out of the remaining matches and later steps in with bat in IPL 2020.

Rohit Sharma hamstring Injury during New Zealand tour

In the ongoing IPL 2020, Rohit Sharma executes his extraordinary gameplay and slowly made his progress to return to his peak form. Without any injury updates suddenly Pollard took over the MI’s captaincy.

Rohit Sharma’s last match in IPL 2020

Rohit has not seen in the matches that took place after MI’s defeat against KXIP in the double super match. In that match too Rohit has not played in the second super over though he remains unbeaten in the first super over.

According to the IPL super overs rules batsman who remains unbeaten in the first over is eligible to bat in the second super over. Fans at that moment thought that it would be a strategy to win over the KXIP.

After which Pollard continued to captaining in the followed matches and the franchise didn’t give any updates on Rohit Sharma’s exclusion.

Rohit Sharma excluded from Australia tour

In addition to this controversy, BCCI announced the India squad for the Australia tour without Rohit Sharma’s name. Rohit’s fans believed that his exclusion may be due to the injury he faced while playing in IPL 2020.

“We are talking about the Test matches, which are a month and a halfway,” Gavaskar told broadcaster Star Sports on Monday.

BCCI updates on Rohit Sharma’s possible return to the squad

During the day BCCI announced the squad for the lengthy tour, Rohit, who was not selected due to an injury, was spotted practicing for his IPL franchise Mumbai Indians. Later BCCI announced that they would consider Rohit only if he proves his fitness in the ongoing IPL 2020.

“And if he is practicing in the nets for Mumbai Indians, then honestly I don’t know what kind of injury it is. I think a little bit of transparency, a little bit of openness about what actually is the problem with him will help everybody.”

“The Indian cricket fan deserves to know, more than anything else. The franchisees, I understand. They don’t want to give their hand away. They don’t want to give the oppositions any psychological advantage. But we are talking about the Indian team here. Even Mayank Agarwal for example. For an Indian cricket fan, they ought to know what happens to two of their key players,” he added.

    Rohit Sharma injury update

Indian cricket fans seek for Rohit’s return in fast track mode after the announcement of the schedule for Australia vs India. In the meanwhile, another report says that the extent of Rohit’s injury is severe than was being believed initially.

“Rohit’s injury is more severe than believed initially. The nets session video posted by the franchise on Monday may not be a true reflection of where it stands,” Hindustan Times quoted an unnamed BCCI source as saying.

I used to love playing on the on-side before. Pleased to have finished the game. The team management and Rohit told me before the start of the tournament that you have played enough to take the game deep. I am glad I have been able to do it.

BCCI and Cricket Australia confirmed the schedule for the India tour of Australia(Australia vs India). Earlier India announces the 32 member squad for the Australia tour to play 3 ODI, 3 T20I, and 4 Test matches.

Last week, the New South Wales government signed off on allowing the India squad – and Australia players returning from the IPL – to quarantine and train in Sydney after Queensland had raised issues.

Capacity for some family members to join the tour has been built into the plan by the NSW government, but it will be decided between Cricket Australia and the BCCI how those spots are filled. Earlier this week, BCCI president Sourav Ganguly indicated he expected families to be able to travel.

“We are working that through at the moment with BCCI and the Australian government,” Nick Hockley, the Cricket Australia CEO said. “It would have to be a compelling case for families to come but that’s something we are working through.”

SCG will host the third while the tour finale will be held at Gabba.

“In relation to the Boxing Day Test at the MCG, we are working with the Victorian Government and the Melbourne Cricket Club on plans to safely host spectators at the iconic event with details to be confirmed in due course.,” CA’s interim CEO Nick Hockley said in a statement.

“The safety of the Australian community and all participants is our highest priority and we will continue to work with governments across Australia to ensure the schedule proceeds in line with relevant directions and biosecurity protocols,” he added.

India’s former batsman Virender Sehwag has supported the selector’s decision to keep Rishabh Pant out of the ODI and T20I squads. Pant has not included in the ODI and T20I format against the Aussies regarding that Sehwag advised the left-hander to learn to finish matches.

October 26 The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced India’s squad for their tour of Australia. The squad has included the new generation players based on their IPL 2020 performance.

    Sehwag Advice to Rishabh Pant

During an interaction on Crizbuzz, Sehwag said, “Rishabh Pant’s omission wasn’t surprising because even in the last tour, he was not in the playing XI after being fit. This was probably a message to Pant that he needs to change his style and start finishing games.”

The reason why Rahul Dravid did Wicket-Keeping

Viru also talked about the early 2000s and added, “During our time, Rahul Dravid used to keep the wickets because we did not have a good wicketkeeper till Dhoni was included in the team. So, Rahul Dravid was used as a keeper as he would also play as an extra batsman.”

    Possible Reason for Pant’s exclusion

Sehwag said, “Rishabh even after being good, the way he throws away his wicket while batting and doesn’t finish matches, could be the reason why skipper Virat Kohli, Ravi Shastri or the selectors might not be happy with him.”

“Rishabh Pant needs to improve in the chances he’s given and finish matches and show that he has the capability to return to the Indian team,” said Sehwag.

    Pant’s Stats so far

Pant has so far played 13 Tests, 16 ODIs, and 27 T20Is. He has an average of 38.76 in Tests and 26.1 in the ODIs, while in 20-over cricket, the left-hander has an average of 20.5

He has also appeared in 63 matches in the Indian Premier League and is currently playing in IPL 2020 with the Delhi Capitals.

    Captains View

    Shreyas Iyer | DC Skipper

We’ll bowl first. The wicket looks dry and the dew factor coming in later is a factor. That (the trends) definitely goes into our mind but we were constantly batting first in the early part of the tournament.

But the wickets have become drier and that’s affected our plans. We want to end up in the top-two, and the boys are really motivated. After some bad performances, we sat together and talked about where we went wrong. Same team.

    David Warner | SRH skipper

I was actually looking to bat first. (on his birthday celebration) I can’t understand this cake-in-the-face business (laughs), it’s quite messy. It was disappointing to lose that last game with a lot of wickets in hand. Three changes – Williamson, Saha, and Nadeem in for Bairstow, Garg, and Khaleel.

    Playing XI

    Delhi Capitals(DC)

    Man of the match

    Wriddhiman Saha | SRH

I got the opportunity for the second time this year and took my chances in the powerplay. Initially, the ball was holding a bit but I took my chances and went after it after the pitch eased out. I’m happy I got selected for the Tests in Australia. We are looking forward to win the last two matches for the Sunrisers and that’s our target now.
