Guys have put their hands up in different situations. Bumrah is an important cog and his doing well reflects the team performance. We’re going in with the same team.
KL Rahul | KXIP captain
We’re at that stage where the toss doesn’t matter. We need to show energy and try to win everything from here. The last game was too close for comfort but we needed a win like that to get over the line. We’re also going in with the same team.

It’s not the first time, I’m getting used to it but we’ll take the two points however they come. It doesn’t always happen so you don’t know how to stay balanced in a situation like this. We have put in some really amazing performances even in the games we lost.
We’re trying to come back harder in each game and wins like this help. After wicket-keeping for 20 overs, batting in the first six is very crucial. We knew it would get slower with their decent spinners, so Mayank and I got a good start over 50 runs.
When Chris plays against spinners, I trust them to take down the spinners. Chris coming in helps, he is an experienced player and knows how to carry the team through. You can’t prepare for Super Overs, no team prepares for Super Overs. You have to trust your bowling group and it is important you let them believe their instinct and gut.
Shami was certain he wanted to go for six yorkers and he has been phenomenal for us. It is important senior guys put their hands up for us. We still want to take it one game at a time and when you haven’t won a lot in the first seven, every victory is sweet. The talk in the dressing room is to focus on the process and stay calm.
That is the kind of mood we want to set and everybody is professional and competitive and they want to win games. We know we need to win everything from here, but not at the cost of processes, we need to enjoy ourselves here.

Always getting David Warner, especially the start of the Super Over was satisfying. It’s great having Morgs, we’ve both been part of this. Was good to use of his experience. Will take this win, enjoy tonight. It was a tough win on a very tough wicket.

We’ll bat first. There’s nothing on the surface, there’s no grass. This looks like a fresh wicket. The question is how much it will slow down as the game progresses. I am happy with a lot of things.
It’s just that the things that have gone wrong have gone wrong drastically. The last game was good, we didn’t commit a lot of errors. We need to keep doing. You are always under pressure in IPL.
If you have a bit of pressure on yourself, there’s more chance of you performing because you’ll respect the opposition, you’ll prepare slightly better, you’ll respect the conditions more. I feel it’s a good thing to have irrespective of where you are positioned in the points table. We have made one change. In place of Piyush Chawla, we have got Kedar back.
Shreyas Iyer | DC skipper
It’s far better (injury) now, thankfully it was just bruised. I wanted to play this game. We will be giving him (Pant) one more game rest so that he comes back really strong in the next one.
We are playing with the same team. I wouldn’t like to point out on the negatives. The boys are really motivated and confident with their mindset. This is going to be a new challenge for us. The last time when we chased, we lost, so this is going to be a good challenge for us. We are looking forward to it.
Till the last ball, we need to fight irrespective of where the game is heading. We are not giving up in any situation. We knew that we’re going to win the game from anywhere. Our mindset is such that we fight till the last ball.

It’s very special (first IPL ton). Playing for 13 years, so very special. Really happy. At the start of the tournament, I was hitting the ball but I wasn’t converting the 20s or 30s into fifties. Once you start doing that, you get more confidence.
I just want to continue the same form and make the most of it. I keep my mindset positive, I don’t think a lot. Of course, I do have a few strategies according to pitch.
I feel I have courage. It (fitness) is very important. Luckily, I was able to work a lot on my routine due to this long break we had due to Corona.

Darren Bravo and Shimron Hetmyer were named Friday in the West Indies team for a proposed two-Test series in New Zealand, having turned down solicitations for the tour through England earlier this year.
The top-order batsmen both quit the Test series against England in July that denoted the arrival of worldwide cricket following the Covid closure.
Bravo and Hetmyer have been reviewed alongside quick bowling all-rounder Keemo Paul, who additionally skirted the England tour, as a feature of a 15-man crew upheld up by six reserve players.
West Indies Tour of New Zealand
Hetmyer and Paul were included in the T20 crew for a three-coordinate series that goes before the two Tests.
West Indies are due to play the first Test in Hamilton from December 3-7. The second is scheduled for Wellington from December 11-15.
Both series are subject to clearance from the two teams’ cricket boards and the New Zealand government.
Darren and Hetmyer may return
“The return of Darren Bravo, Shimron Hetmyer, and Keemo Paul will bolster the team,” said West Indies chief selector Roger Harper.
“I expect that Darren will solidify the top-order, hopefully making it more productive, while Shimron gives the squad more options in the middle-order and it is another opportunity for him to show how good a player he is.
“Keemo provides another wicket-taking seam option.”
All-rounder Andre Russell and top-order batsmen Lendl Simmons and Evin Lewis have chosen not to participate in the tour.
Shai Hope was omitted from the Test squad following a sustained poor run of form. He scored just 105 runs in six innings in three Tests against England.
“Shai is a player who I think has a tremendous future in Test cricket but at the moment he needs to reorganize his Test match game and get his batting in the longest version, back to its best,” said Harper.

IPL 2020 MI vs KKR Highlights: Mumbai Indians is set to play the 32nd match of IPL 2020 against Kolkata knight Riders. Mumbai Indians will grab the top position in the IPL 2020 points table if they win this match.
We are gonna bat first. The wicket looks good, hopefully, we can get a good score on the board. It all happened yesterday (the captaincy change), DK came to myself and head coaches, decided it is better for the team and he also needs to focus on his batting. It just shows the culture we’ve created. We have made two changes. Banton and Nagarkoti go out. Mavi and Green come in.
Feel confident. We had a great last game here, it’s another challenge to come out and chase a target. It gives us another opportunity to come out and express ourselves. It is important to make sure everyone are fresh, not playing for a long period is easy for players to get injured.
We have one chance. James Pattinson misses out and Nathan Coulter-Nile comes in. We are managing the workload and that’s the thought behind it.

To be honest, I’m not very sure – it’s the best shot I have in my armory (talking about his leg-side game), I like to play it and it’s nice when it comes off. It’s all about keeping my balance, I don’t work too much on the cross-bat shots, it’s important to stay in the line while playing those.
I was disappointed at not finishing it off last game, Mahela had a word to us – he keeps us in check, in focus, it’s nice to have such people around. I have played enough to not think too much about the keeping – everyone does drop catches and I’m not any different. I’m working on some aspects of the keeping, but I think I can keep improving on that aspect of the game

Chris Gayle made his maiden IPL 2020 entry via this match. Gayle hits an impressive half-century in 36 deliveries and makes an easy victory for KXIP.
Pooran names Gayle as the greatest T20 player
After the match, Pooran, while speaking to Mayank Agarwal, named a player who according to him is the greatest T20 player of all time. Pooran named his fellow West Indian and ‘Universe Boss’ Chris Gayle.
He said: “For me, Gayle is the greatest T20 player who has played the game”.
“When Chris is batting, you always have a chance of winning the game. Once he is there, it is a different mood in the camp obviously. He started off slowly, but he had not played cricket for a long time…He has shown once more why he is the greatest T20 batsman. It is wonderful to see him get runs,” he added.
Chris Gayle started his IPL season on a high after scoring a half-century against Royal Challengers Bangalore. However, just one run was needed off the final ball where Pooran stepped in and finished the innings with a six. It reminded him of the situation against Delhi Capitals where the match headed into the super over where KXIP lost the match.
He said: “The last over started, it was like deja vu. Last three balls, one run. It was like the Delhi game all over again but the difference was that I was in the dugout. A million things were running in my mind. I was not clear, to be honest, what I was gonna do. I never wanted to be in that position. After sitting out for so long, I have to bat the last ball.”
Kolkata Knight Riders(KKR) Dinesh Karthik hand over his captaincy to Eoin Morgan. Dinesh Karthik crowns as KKR skipper in 2018 and continues to lead the team in 2019 and 2020 IPL.
Dinesh Karthik Hands Over Captaincy to Eoin Morgan
Regarding this KKR official announced as” Dinesh Karthik has informed the KKR management that with a view to focus on his batting and contributing more to the team’s cause, he wishes to hand over the team’s captaincy to Eoin Morgan”.
Venky Mysore, CEO of KKR said “we are fortunate to have leaders such as DK, who has always put the team first. It takes a lot of courage for someone like him to take a decision such as this. While we were surprised by his decision, we are respectful of his wishes. We are also fortunate that Eoin Morgan, the 2019 World Cup-winning captain, who has been the vice-captain, is willing to lead the side going forward. DK and Eoin have worked brilliantly together during this tournament and although Eoin takes over as captain, this is effectively a role swap and we expect that this transition will work in a seamless manner”
On behalf of everyone at Kolkata Knight Riders, we thank DK for all his contributions as the captain over the past two and a half years and wish Eoin the very best going forward.
DK leads the KKR in the current IPL season where KKR holds the fourth position in the IPL points table. Though KKR holds a safe spot in the points table they fail to show consistent performance. KKR won 4 matches out of seven they played so far. KKR is set to face Mumbai Indians tonight(16/10/2020) in Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi.
Eoin Morgan leads England and won the 2019 Men’s cricket world cup. He also holds the England record for the fastest fifty in ODIs and during the 2019 ICC World Cup, he scored the highest number of sixes in an ODI inning, with 17 sixes against Afghanistan.
