The New Zealand sensations Rachin Ravindra and Amelie Kerr have been honored during the NZC awards ceremony in Christchurch.

The 24-year-old Rachin Ravindra has become the youngest player to win the Sir Richard Hadlee Medal while Amelia Kerr was awarded with Debbie Hockley Medal for the second consecutive year.

She also won ODI and T20I Player of the Year awards at Christchurch. In the Men’s category, the specialist batter Kane Williamson smashed his 32nd test century on the South Africa tour of New Zealand in 2024 and has been awarded Test Player of the Year while Daryl Mitchell has been named the ODI Player of the Year.

Mitchell Santner won the T20I Player of the Year during the award fest. Rachin Ravindra who had a successful cricketing year amassed 578 runs during the ODI World Cup 2023 leveling Kane Williamson’s tally in the 2019 edition.

Recently, he hit 240 runs in the first test against South Africa and played a crucial role in New Zealand’s victory.

Meanwhile, Amelia Kerr who was recognized for being the leading ODI run-scorer with 541 runs with an average of 67. She was the T20 wicket-taker and the second-highest T20I run scorer for her team.
