Travis Head Biography: Travis Head started his Cricketing journey at the age of 18. Travis Head is one of the most prominent players in Australia and has a high leadership quality as he led South Australia to their first Sheffield finals after 20 years.
A talented, aggressive batter earned his first call-up to Australia’s squad at the age of 22 for a series of T20Is against India in early 2016.
His solidity in the middle-order slot helped the side on many occasions for his side. He foresaw his opener debut with his first century alongside David Warner. He replaced Johan Botha as captain of South Australia in February 2015.
He was impressive during the 2015-16 season as he stunned everyone in all three game formats. He was named as the captain after Brad Hodge left Adelaide Strikers.

Tavis Head, the left-handed batsman also has the ability to bowl right arm off break. He plays for Adelaide Strikers in the BBL. He was part of the Australia U19 World Cup squad in 2012.
Head was the youngest captain for the Redbacks. He also plays for RCB in the IPL and is also part of the Yorkshire in County Championship.

Travis Head Family
Travis Head has two siblings a brother Ryan Head and a sister named Chelsea Head. Travis started playing cricket in his backyard when he was six years old. He started playing underage-level cricket. He played for Craigmore Club and Trinity College where he completed his schooling.
By the age of 10, he played for Tea Tree District Cricket Club before playing in district-level cricket. By the age of 16, he played in various age-level cricket tournaments for South Australia.
Domestic Career
Travis Head made his First-class debut during the match between Victoria vs South Australia on February 02-05, 2012. He contributed 12 runs in the match but they lost the match with 186 runs difference.
Travis Head made his List A debut during the match between NSW and South Australia on February 14, 2013. He scored 4 runs and their side lost the game by 56 runs.
Head made his T20 debut during the match between Scorchers and Strikers on January 10, 2013, where scorchers won the match by 98 runs.
BBL Career
He played his first Adelaide Strikers in the BBL edition 2012-13. During the 2014-15 BBL, he scored his maiden BBL half-century against Brisbane Heat. He scored his first century against Sydney Sixers in the 2015-16 BBL.
He scored two half-centuries in the next two games of the tournament. During the 2017-18 edition of BBL, he played nine matches for Strikers and scored 374 runs, including three fifties with the highest score of 85 runs.
He played three matches for the strikers in the 2019 BBL edition where he amassed 228 runs with a strike rate of 140.74.
IPL Career
During the IPL 2015 season, he was picked by Delhi Daredevils for INR 30 lakhs but didn’t play in the tournament. During IPL 2016, RCB bought him for INR 50 lakhs and played the first match against Mumbai Indians.
International Career
ODI career
Travis Head made his ODI debut in the match between West Indies and Australia at Basseterre on June 13, 2016, where Windies won the match by four wickets.
Test Career
Travis Head made his Test debut in the match between Pakistan and Australia at Dubai on October 07-11, 2018 where he scored 72 runs in the second innings where the 1st Test resulted as draw.
T20I career
Travis Head made his T20I debut on the match between Australia and India on January 26, 2016, where India won the match by 37 runs.
World Cup Career
Travis Head made his World Cup debut during the match at Dharamsala on October 28, 2023, against New Zealand. Notably, he was sidelined from the previous two matches in the World Cup 2023 edition.
