Spencer Johnson Biography: The player made his List A match debut during the JLT One-day match between South Australia and Victoria at North Sydney on 12 October 2017 where he bagged a wicket for South Australia. His side won the match by 11 runs.

He made his first match debut during the match between Victoria and South Australia on February 20-22, 2023 where Victoria won the match by 177 runs. Although the player failed to dismiss batters in the first innings but had an impressive bowling as he completed 11 overs for 26 runs with a maiden over. During the second innings, he had a best bowling figure of 6/87, but the side lost the match by 177 runs.

    • During the 26th Sheffield Shield match on March 02-04, 2023, he had bowling figures of 7/47 with an economy of 2.04 in the first innings. During the second inning, Spencer Johnson dismissed two batters with an economy of 5.14. But Queensland won the match by 5 wickets.
    • He dismissed a batter in the first innings of the 29th match of the Sheffield Shield on March 14-17, 2023 where the match concluded with a draw.

He made his T20 debut during the 37th match of the Big Bash League on 11 January 2023, where Perth Scorchers won by 8 wickets.

ODI Career

  • He was part of the ODI squad in the Australia tour of India 2023 but played only one match in the tour.
    • He bowled 8 overs during the 2nd ODI match on September 24 and failed to bag wickets in the match. Finally, India won the match by 99 runs DLS method.

T20I Career

  • He was named T20I squad which played in the Australia tour of South Africa in 2023.
    • During the first T20I match at Durban on August 30, 2023, Australia won the match by 111 runs. He dismissed Hendricks and Shamsi and helped the side to contain the Proteas’ men from chasing the target.
